We are pleased to announce that three recipients have been selected to receive one of three $1,000 RockON! scholarships for the 2006/07 year.
The three students to receive the scholarships are:

Remi Boucher, École secondaire catholique Champlain, Chelmsford

Sherry Brown, South Carleton High School, Richmond

Darcy Moreau, Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational Institute, Kirkland Lake
Each student thoughtfully demonstrated his or her interest in a future career in the mining industry, by writing a 200 to 300-word essay explaining their interest in the mining industry.
An independent panel of expert judges evaluated the applications. Our judges were Cory McPhee, Manager, External Relations, INCO Ltd., and Dennis Shannon, Manager Mine & Operations, NORCAT, both of Sudbury.
Thank you to all applicants. We applaud you for your initiative in preparing an application for consideration and wish you much success in your chosen career path in the mining industry.
